News: A footballer at the Royal Ballet

Here is an article from the British Newspaper The Times which was published a few months ago. A football fanatic visits the Royal Ballet in London to see how the physical demands of dance compare to the golden game.

Here are two choice quotes:
"Ballet, with its demands of contortion, balance and strength, requires a level of physical ability and mental concentration that is rarely equalled elsewhere, not merely in dance, but also in sport." [The reason you don't see ballet shows on reality TV, the author says, is because it's just too hard.]

"It’s probably harder to become a leading ballerina or principal man than it is to become an England player." [Says former England manager, Graham Taylor.]
The article also features a brief interview with principal dancer, Edward Watson.

Edward Watson in Mayerling.
